Quote of the Week
“I would like to die on Mars, just not on impact!”
– Elon Musk
In celebration of the SpaceX and NASA (hopeful) launch on Saturday at 3.22pm (CET), we digest this quote by Elon Musk. Former astronaut Mike Massimo (you will know him from Big Bang Theory, when Howard Wallowitz goes to the ISS) said on TV this week that when Elon Musk made his aspirations of going to space 12 years ago everyone in the industry said that it was impossible. As they say, the rest is history!
What the ‘Tribe is reading
From the BLINKIST website: Almost none of us have the time to read everything we’d like to read. Yet we lose countless hours to activities that bring us little joy such as commuting, chores and staring at our phones. What if we could turn these little blocks of unallocated time into precious and rewarding moments for learning and reflection? Blinkist now connects 6-million readers worldwide to the biggest ideas from bestselling nonfiction via 15-minute audio and text.

What the ‘Tribe is listening to/ watching
On Wednesday millions of people tuned in to watch the launch of SpaceX’s manned rocket into space. Unfortunately 16 minutes before the launch it was “scrubbed” (called off) due to inclement weather conditions. The NASA’s live feed through YouTube started several hours before T-0.00, and it was stacked with interesting information about space exploration. The new launch time is now set for Saturday 30 June at 3.22pm (CET) – watch it with your family!
What the ‘Tribe is smiling about
A good news piece that slipped through under the radar.
The Ashaninka indigenous community in Brazil has won a two-decade federal court dispute against illegal logging interests, receiving $3 million in compensation and an official apology from companies for cutting down thousands of mahogany, cedar, and other tree species in the Kampa do Rio Amônia Indigenous Reserve.
This is a really easy recipe that gives you delicious, moist, choc brownies that you can serve as a great desert (with some fresh raspberries and whipped cream), or indulge in front of the tv with a brownie and a great big scoop of vanilla ice cream, or just have them on the kitchen counter as a walk-past-pop-in-the-mouth hit of deliciousness!
